Simpson “Simp” Hagans, the son of the late Kaymella Kendrick and Joseph Hagans. He was given residency and life’s opportunities in Shellman, Georgia. He received his education in the Randolph County school system. He was a 1969 graduate of Henderson High school in Cuthbert, Georgia.
As a testimony of love his love for Christ, he joined Bethel AME Church at an early age.
He transitioned to his eternal home on December 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was was preceded in death by his wife,Marzella Hagans. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Glenn, and Joseph Hagans, two children, Cedrick and Simpson Hagans, Jr., two special sisters-in-law, Beverly Granger and Lessie Turner.
The legacy of his season of 68 years is left to two devoted children, Overseer Tasha (Bishop Wilson) Lewis and Demetricus Hagans; four wonderful brothers, Alexander Turner of Rockledge, FL, Willie C Hagans of Cocoa Beach, FL , George (Rose) Hagans of Melbourne, FL and Brady (Jessie Nell) Kendrick, Dawson, GA; seven precious grandchildren, Sadarius, Lacassius (Tracy) Lewis, Quantavius, Tatravius (Jasmine) Lewis , Shynetricus Buster, Semetricus, Akeelah Hagans,and Jamaya Hagans; godsister, Carolyn Pane (Thomas) Reynolds of Newville, AL; a special friend for six years, Mamie Lane, and a host of nieces, nephews,other family and friends.
