Anaphene Dale Hawkins was born in Baker County on September 29, 1929.  The daughter of the late Rev. Tony and Lena Fisher Dale.

Anaphene was educated in the Ivory Mills and Piney Grove Schools in Baker County.

Anaphene Dale Hawkins departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. L.H. Hawkins.  To this union four children were born.

She is survived by two sons: James Hawkins of Newton, GA, Alexander Hawkins of Albany, GA; two daughters: Sandra Hawkins of Newton, GA, Wylene Hawkins of Newton, GA.  She also leaves her sisters: Lucille Fulmore of Orlando, FL; Roxie Mae Swan of Albany, GA; Ethel Mae Richardson of Orlando, FL; Della Mae Gilbert of Orlando, FL; Masie Hawkins of Augusta, GA; Ruby Dale of Orlando, FL and Mary Joyce Dale of Orlando, Fl.  She was preceded in death by her sister Arlene Hawks.  She also leaves one brother Lawrence Dale of Orlando, FL.  Two brother-in-law's: Calip Hawkins, Sr. of Newton, GA and Willie Hawkins of Sanford, FL. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
