A Time To Be Born:
Calip Hawkins, Sr., was born in Baker County, Georgia, to the late Ciscero and Anna Hawkins. He was the youngest of his siblings.
A Time To Grow:
Calip joined Thankful Baptist Church in Newton, Georgia, at a young age. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Sis. Willer Dean (Robinson) Hawkins, and this union was blessed with seven children. He supported his family by working numerous years as a farmer and a carpenter. Calip thoroughly enjoyed fishing and baseball. He continued to attend the Thankful Baptist Church regularly up until his transition from this life.
A Time To Rest:
Bro. Calip Hawkins, Sr., departed this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Two children, R.H. Hawkins and Calip Hawkins, Jr., preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: five children, Mary Joyce Kendrick of Orlando, FL, Dea. Danna (Barbara) Hawkins of Newton, GA, Adean (R.L.) King of Largo, FL, Shirley Ann (Ronald) Payne of Las Vegas, NV, and Pastor Kelvin (Tonya) Hawkins of Albany, GA; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Hawkins of Sanford, FL; three brothers-in-law, Wilotha Robinson of Arlington, GA, L.C. Robinson (Mary Ann) of Haines City, FL, and Jessie Williams of Winter Garden, FL; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends who will always cherish his memory.
