Mr. Eddie B. Gilbert was born on January 27, 1952, to Everleen Gilbert in Calhoun County, Georgia. Eddie was a member of Union Baptist Church, in Morgan, Georgia. He attended the Calhoun County Public School system. On April 16, 2020, Eddie, who lived his life for 68 years, succumbed to his battle with several health issues and took his rest. Eddie is preceded in death by his wife, Dorthy Teart Gilbert. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Everleen Gilbert of Philadelphia, PA; one daughter, Danna Brackins (Jerome) of Arlington, GA; three sons, Steve Jackson of Albany, GA, Jeffery Teart of San Antonio, TX, and Edmund Gilbert of Vienna, GA; one sister, Betty Williams (Samuel) of Albany, GA; one brother, James Johnson (Vonzet) of Alexandria, VA; two aunts, Emma Ellis of Philadelphia, PA, and Louise Morris of Washington, D.C.; one uncle, Eddie Dean Gilbert (Sheryl) of Griffin, GA; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
