Obituary

Sister Ellie Mae Butler was born on April 19, 1953 in Randolph County, Georgia to the late Nathaniel Butler, Sr. and Lessie Bell Butler.

Ellie confessed Christ as her personal savior at an early age.  She joined Salem A.M.E. Church in Bronwood, Georgia.

Ellie's affectionate smile and laughter was infectious everywhere she went.  Her smile and laughter touched the heart of those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Butler, Sr., mother, Lessie Bell Butler, grandparents, Lee and Leona Bell, brother, SFC Benjamin Butler, and sister Rosa Lee Butler.

Ellie memories will always and forever remain in the hearts of her loving and devoted family. Sisters; Jessie (Ira) Bogan of Dawson, GA, Sammie Butler of Albany Ga, Naomi Butler of Albany, GA, Brothers; Nathaniel (Lillie) Butler of Bronwood, GA, Willie Smiley of Dawson, GA,  a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and many sorrowing friends; special thanks to the staff and caregivers of ResCare Normal Life.  She will be missed dearly by all.
