Mr. Joe L. Cox, Sr., of Dawson, Georgia, was born July 24, 1947 in Eufaula Alabama to the late Josh Cox and Queenie Mae Cox.  He departed his life on January 16, 2018 at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert, GA. He attended the public schools in Randolph County.  He worked at McClesky Mills in Smithville, GA up until his retirement in 2011. He is proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers Roosevelt Cox and Richard Cox. He leaves to cherish memories; Shirley Small, three daughters, JoAnn Cox of Palm Beach Florida, Shawn Small and Antreaqua Small both if Dawson, GA;  a  granddaughter who was more like a daughter Tesharra Small;  five sons, Johnny Cox of Palm Beach Florida, Joe L. Cox Jr of Dawson, Ga, Jarmmal Cox of Dawson, GA, Joseph Small Thomasville, GA and Tracy Small of Dawson, GA;  one sister, Eula Mae Cox of Delaware; two brothers, Willie L. Cox of Palm Beach Florida and Josh cox of Albany, GA.  Twenty-five grandchildren and seventeen great- Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends. He was a loving father and grandfather up to his untimely departure.  His kind heart and helping hands will be missed by many within his community.
