IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lillie Mae
Bowens
July 31, 1934 – February 4, 2017
Lillie Mae Bowens was born on July 31, 1934 in Dougherty County, Georgia to the late Steven Bowens and Viola Chatman Bowens. She departed this life in her home on Saturday, February 4, 2017
She was a homemaker and was very talented with her hands in upholstery and decoration for the home. She also worked for the City of Albany as a Laborer Helper.
Baking cakes were her specialty. Especially those tasteful delicious pineapple and caramel cakes. She loved children and would always give them treats during their visits.
Know to some by Lillie Mae, Sug, Auntie Sug, or Sugarfoot. We thank God that he saw fit to give her to us for a set time.
She joined Mt. Mary Primitive Baptist Church where she fellowshipped until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Juan Enrique Bowens and Freddie Bowens; brother David Bowens; Sister, Willie Mae Leveston and Fannie Lee Evans; Sister-in-law, Miley Bowens.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister, Minnie Lee Williams, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
