Lillie Mae Johnson was born October 5, 1929, to the late Louis Bussey and Carrie Francis Major. She attended Randolph Comprehensive High School, which later became Henderson High School. She departed this life on April 11, 2020, at the JoAnne Burgin Nursing home in Cuthbert, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Johnson; three children, Bernice Washington of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, James Johnson of Detroit, MI & Cuthbert, GA, Lava (Larry) Johnson of Shellman, GA; and five grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her passing: two children, Lodis Jackson-Price of Cuthbert, GA, and Loyd Jones, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Fannie Johnson of Cuthbert, GA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
