Adell Powell Sheffield, the daughter of the late Athur Lee Powell and Roxie Powell, began her life journey on February 6, 1941, in Dawson, Georgia.
Adell confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She became a member of the Crawford Grove Baptist Church.
Adell was educated in the public school system of Terrell County, Georgia.Adell resided in Dawson, Georgia the majority of her life. She worked a variety of jobs. She worked in the fields, at the Rubber Company, and also she was an aid at Presbyterian Nursing Home.
Life had Adell make a change and she moved to Valdosta, Georgia for the remainder of her years, where she enjoyed being closer to her son and grandchildren.
Adell departed her earthly life for sweet eternity with her Creator at the Pruitt Health Crestwood Nursing Home in Valdosta, Georgia, on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her beloved grandson, Jenard Sheffield, her brothers, Willie, Charlie, Albert, and Billy, her sister, Lottie, sister-in-law (just as a sister), Lilly Powell, and other family and friends.
Precious and loving memories will always be cherished by: her son, Lamar (Blanche) Sheffield; grandchildren, Javon Sheffield, Anisha Patrick, Cecelie Loving, Fantasia Pye, Jelani Lawton, and Angel Sheffield, all of Valdosta, GA; brother, Jessie Lee (Sonya) Powell of Valdosta, GA; sisters, Rushia Bell (Moses) White of Dawson, GA, Joann (Earlis) Paige of Valdosta, GA, Cassandra Holmes, and Contenia Holmes Both of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends, who will all miss her dearly.
