Al Redmond was born on March 7, 1949, in Lee County Georgia to Buford Redmond and Mae Palmer Redmond.
Al at the age of 17 married the love of his life Faye Lane, who was at the age of sweet 16.
Al transitioned to eternal rest on July 19, 2020 at his home.
Al is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mae Redmond Ramsey and a brother Mount Redmond.
Al enjoyed his life and lived life to the fullest. He spent most of his earthly life working with wildlife. He was in numerous books and magazines with his turtles and other wildlife. He was in National Geographic Magazine in January 1986 with his turtles that he cherished raising. Al was an avid deer hunter. He waited for the deer hunting season opener with anticipation.
Al was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Association and the Mechanized Cavalry which he extremely enjoyed the fellowship throughout the meetings.
Al is survived by his wife of 54 years Faye L Redmond; 3 sons: Al J. Redmond (Dottie), Dan (Angel) Redmond both of Lee County, Ga. and Jay Redmond of Sasser, Ga. 7 grandchildren, Lacey Morimitsu of Lee County, Ga., Alan Redmond (Celina) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dean Redmond of Sasser, Ga., Raney Redmond Jones (Aaron) of Atlanta, Ga., Chase Redmond, Ragan Redmond and Rilee Redmond, all of Lee County, Ga; 2 great grandsons Raylan Boyd of Lee County, Ga and Aiden Redmond of Las Vegas, Nevada. ; his two loyal companions Tatertot and Biscuit and a host of family and friends.
