David Bush was born on February 9, 1957, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Mr. Idell Bush, Sr., and Mrs. Ocie Lee Lane Bush. David accepted Christ at an early age, and growing up, he was a member of New Macedonia Church in Albany, Georgia. David attended Coachman Park Elementary and River Road Junior High school. He was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 1976. During High School, he enjoyed playing baseball and being a part of his high school’s team. Later, he proceeded to attend Albany Technical College, where he became a certified auto mechanic. He later went back to Albany Technical College, where he became a certified electrician. David was a big sports fan for all sports, and he worked for the Dougherty County School System Maintenance Department for 10 years. He also worked at M&M Mars, as a technician, for several years. He then became a handy man around Albany, Georgia, and surrounding counties. David had a daughter, Danetta Bush, who he loved and cherished very dearly. David heard the Lord calling his name, and he transitioned to his eternal home on May 7, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. David is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Henry L. Bush, William Bush, Alex Bush, Idell Bush, Jr., and John Bush; and two sisters, Pinkey M. Bush Brown and Ocie M. Bush Smith. David leaves memories to cherish to: his daughter, Danetta Bush; one brother, Larry (Annie Ruth) Bush of Albany, GA; five sisters, Dora B. Lumpkin (Julius Lumpkin) of Kathleen, GA, Gloria D. Wallace of Forrest Park, GA, Geraldine Bush of Perry, GA, Wanda A. Britten of Albany, GA, and Debra B. Davidson of Byron, GA; a close friend, Carolyn Bush; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
