Dr. Beverly Ann Holloway Marshall was born on March 9, 1959, to Mr. Lucius Holloway, Sr., and the late Emma Kate Lewis Holloway in Dawson, Georgia.
At an early age, Dr. Marshall confessed her love for Christ and became a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Dawson, Georgia, under the leadership of Reverend Milton W. Merritt. She was a servant and devoted her time to the church and served with several ministries during her life. She served as a part of the Dorcas Ministry, President of the Adult Praise Dance Ministry, as a Senior Choir Member, and as a Youth Teacher for vacation Bible school. She was formerly a member of the Southwest Georgia Mass Choir. She was a devoted and faithful servant of God until He called her to take her rest.
Dr. Holloway attended the Terrell County Public School System and was a part of the graduating class of 1976. She enjoyed being a majorette in the Terrell County High School Band. After graduating, she furthered her education at Albany State College (University) and received a Master of Education in Counseling, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She also received a Doctorate from Argosy University. She was a licensed professional counselor. Dr. Marshall was employed by the Department of Corrections for more than twenty years. She was also employed for a number of years with the Department of Defense. Dr. Marshall was also an entrepreneur. She was the CEO of Intervention Prevention Unlimited, LLC.
Dr. Marshall heard the Lord call her name to take her eternal rest on November 15, 2020. She transitioned to her eternal home at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, in Albany, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Kate Holloway.
The legacy of her season of sixty-one years of life is left and will forever be cherished by her loving family. She leaves her memories and love to be remembered by two daughters, Melissa K. Marshall of Dawson, GA, and U.S. Air Force TSgt. Iris Bias of Edwards, CA; one son, Idus Marshall of Dawson, GA; father, Deacon Lucius Holloway, Sr.;seven grandchildren, Miyauna, Kaleb, Synouria, Edyen, Georgia Peach, Madison, and Emmanuel; three brothers, Lucius (Cynthia) Holloway, Jr., of Quincy, FL, Minister Patrick Holloway of Dawson, GA, and Fred (Ellen) Nix of Harrisburg, PA; one sister, Charlene (Ret. US Air Force MSgt. Robbye) Bishop of Bronwood, GA; six uncles, A.B. (Pamela) Holloway of Atlanta, GA, Dea. Henry (Mary) Holloway, James (Janie) Holloway, James Leo (Joanna) Lewis, and Rev. Dr. Robert (Mary) Lewis, Sr., J.D., all of Albany, GA, and Simuel Bishop, Sr. of Bronwood, G A; four aunts, Alice (Frank) Smith, Eva Sue Johnson, and Brenda Wiggins, all of Albany, GA, and Rosa Anna Lewis of Dawson, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
