Season of Life To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 A Time to be Born: Freddie Bernard Smith, Jr., was born on August 16, 1965 to the late Ora Lee Smith. At an early age, “Neal” joined the Wooden Grove Baptist Church. Then, later in life, he joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Americus, GA. He served as a faithful member until death. A Time to Learn: Freddie “Neal” obtained his education with the Lee County School System. A Time to Labor: Neal worked with Coast & Clark for many, many years. A Time for Peace: On Tuesday, March 24, Neal made the transition to his heavenly home. A Time to Mourn: Here to cherish his memories are: his loving and devoted wife, Birdelle Anderson; father, Freddie Smith, Sr. (Gayle); mother-in-law, Lucy Mae Anderson; two children, Lashonda Anderson and Tremaine Anderson (Casey); one godson, Travis Brown; four grandchildren; one brother, Toney Smith (Priscilla); three sisters, Cynthia Williams (David), Tassa Moses (Darrell), and Wendy Smith; three sisters-in-law, Mary Holloway (Michael), Tracey Brown (Charles), and Sharon Smith (Alonzo); three close friends, Rufus Sherman, Jr., William Angry (Doris), and David Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
