Mr. Jack Livingston was born on June 28, 1932, to his loving mother, the late Mrs. Pearlie D Jones, and his father Mr. J L. Livingston, and his loving step father, the late Deacon Dave Jones in Thomas County, Georgia. Mr. Jack Livingston was in Pruitt Nursing Home in Albany, Georgia. He transitioned to his eternal home on February 4, 2019 at the Phoebe Putney memorial in Albany Ga.
Mr. Jack Livingston confessed Christ Jesus at an early age. He sang in the church choir when he was able. He was the originator of the gospel group, The Gospel Thigh Slappers which was a cappella gospel group. He would travel during the summer time Brunswick, Georgia to attend the gospel festival. He enjoyed talking about the Lord Jesus. He was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Baconton, Georgia.
Over the years of his life he had a number of jobs Georgia Power better known as Plant Mitchell in Dougherty County, Georgia at the Mitchell Doughty Line, the Marine Base in Albany, Georgia, the Johnson Drake Pipe company, he also worked for a well-known farmer Lester Brown in Baconton, Georgia, the job that he work for the longest was Firestone Rubber company in Albany, Georgia which he was there for 15 years. Georgia, and he was employed at Golden Peanut also known as Alimenta in Camilla, Georgia, until he retired until he was no longer able to work. He was also known a great farmer.
He was joined in marriage to his late Mrs. Eliza Ann Johnson and the marriage family produced eight children.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his children; Pearlie Livingston (Albany, Georgia),Jack Livingston (Tennessee), Larry Livingston (Florida), Zachary Livingston (Albany, Georgia), Gary Livingston (Tennessee), Terry Livingston (Mississippi), Mylindie Livingston (Albany, Georgia), Roy Lee Johnson (Florida), Four grandchildren; Drew Livingston, Courtney Livingston, Emily Livingston, Garrika Livingston, Three Great Grandchildren; Olivia Livingston, Christina Livingston, Dakota Clark, and host of family and friends. He will be loved and missed by his family.
