Jessie Horton Obituary

Jessie Pearl Bass Horton was born on November 19, 1945 to the late Bobby Lee Bass, Sr., and Cleona D. Bass in Stewart County, Georgia.
Jessie was a student at Stewart County, Lumpkin Industrial High School. Shortly into her high school years, she moved to Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, to continue her education and help out with her family. Jessie proved herself to be a Jill of all trades. throughout her lifetime, she has held a number of positions to many people in her life including family, friends, and even strangers. These positions include a homemaker, motivational speaker, personal chef, singer, handy woman, and interior designer just to name a few.
She was an incredible, loving, resourceful, and organized woman. Family was important to her and because of this fact, she often brought family members together; whether it was by simply asking or in hopes of her making her famous sweet potato pie. She created memories with her family through cooking dinners together; Thanksgiving and Christmas often being the most memorable, engaging in thought-provoking conversations on a multitude of subjects, and gracing the ears of her family members with her beautiful singing voice to mention a few. She was also compassionate, caring, and artistic and will truly be missed.
Jessie Pearl Bass Horton was called home to Jesus on February 8, 2021, at the age of 75.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, oldest son, and one grandchild: Bobby Lee Bass, Sr., Cleona D. Bass, Henry Lee Horton Sr., Henry Lee Horton, Jr., and Henry Lee Horton III. She also had four sisters and three brothers that went home to Jesus before her: Viola Turner, Annie Bass, Ethel Dixon, Bessie Bolden, Fred Bass, Bobby Lee Bass, Jr., and Johnny Bass.
