Minnie Jean Sheffield Prince was born June 10, 1944, in Terrell County, Georgia. She was blessed to have two sets of loving and caring parents in the late Mr. Robert and Catherine Sheffield and the late Mr. Charlie and Mary Sue Ousley.
Minnie received her education from Carver High School, Terrell County, Dawson, Georgia. Upon graduating, she moved to Detroit, Michigan, for a short period of time. Upon returning home, she was employed for many years with Yale Rubber Co. While employed there, Minnie met the love of her life, Minister Melvin Prince, whom she was married to for 45 years. From this union, three children were born: Pamela Denise Neal, Brandi Hart, and Charles Prince.

She loved her family and friends and was an active member in church until her health began to fail her. She was a beautician for many years and operated at a beauty salon in Shellman, Georgia. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years.
Minnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Denise Neal; seven siblings, Matthew, Willie Joe, James, JayLyn, Henrietta, Josie Will, and Mary Sue; and one great-granddaughter, Makyah Winchester.
