Willie D. Toombs, Sr., was born April 16, 1937, in Dawson, Georgia, to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Mary Green Toombs. He attended the public school system of Terrell County, located in Sasser, Georgia. On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, God saw that the road was getting difficult, and the hill was tough to climb for Willie, so God called him home so that he may rest in peace. Willie was a joy to all who knew him; his laughter and jokes spoke highly of his demeanor. He is preceded in death by one son, Willie D. Toombs, Jr. He leaves to cherish a legacy of love and devotion: his wife, Ola Mae Toombs; two loving daughters, Doris Lowe (Al) and Barbara Jackson of Albany, GA; five loving sons, Curtis Jackson (Sheila), Melvin Toombs (Latasha), Joseph Toombs, and Richard Toombs, all of Albany, GA; grandkids, Jaron Maunice Jackson, Keyan Mobley, Nakahya Mobley, and Michael Pickett; two loving sisters, Ola Mae Dyous of Atlanta, GA, and Mary Dean Harris of Albany, GA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will mourn his passing
